Payroll Associate
This is NOT remote

POSITION OVERVIEW The Payroll Associate is responsible for the payroll processing and review activities for the company, consisting of weekly, biweekly and monthly payrolls for employees located throughout several jurisdictions, as well as assisting the Multi State Payroll Manager with all associated regulatory compliance.

•Ensures the accurate set up of associate data in time tracking system.
•Responsible for processing requests timely (500-600 timecards)
•Ensures that all time corrections, off-cycle checks, additional checks and garnishments are processed accurately.
•Accurately calculates special compensation, commissions, retro pay, final term pay and leave of absence pay.
•Assist Managers with questions on time and attendance tracking while providing prompt and excellent customer service.
•Understanding of Federal and multi-state W-4s and unique requirements by state.
•Understanding of Payroll concepts including gross to net, pre-tax benefits, supplemental wages/tax, disposable earnings, etc.
•Continuously seeking ways to improve Payroll processing by thinking outside the box, making recommendations, and putting those ideas into production
•Run and review payroll reports with the ability to analyze and check for outliers.
•Maintains the highest level of confidentiality of sensitive information and securing all appropriate documentation.

Must haves:
•Excellent communication - Reports to upper management
•Construction experience
•Proficiency with software including Sage/Timberline
•Davis Bacon/Certified Payroll - processing 500-600+ time cards

•3-5 years recent Payroll processing experience
•Experience processing payroll in a Construction related industry
•Multi-state payroll processing experience
•Proficiency with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook
•Proficiency with Sage/Timberline
•High School Diploma or equivalent, college preferred
