General Purpose:

The Information Security Analyst will plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor security measures for the protection of the company IT infrastructure and sensitive information. The Security Analyst will be responsible for early and accurate detection, response, and containment of threats directed against the company IT environment. This role will collaborate with IT team members, developers, vendors, and business units to constantly improve the overall security posture of the company.

Job Functions:
  • Identify and analyze information security threats and respond effectively to security incidents
  • Coordinate investigation and prepare reporting of security incidents
  • Handle and monitor regular dashboard metrics, security feeds, phishing campaigns, system reports, and other reports
  • Monitor and analyze network, server, endpoint, database, and application activity for indicators of compromise and continuously tune rules to reduce false positives
  • Seek for existing and new threats within the network and endpoints
  • Scan, assess, and mitigate vulnerabilities on internal company assets and 3rd party platform
  • Assist in performing network penetration tests, application vulnerability assessment scans and risk assessment reviews
  • Provide detailed, ongoing documentation of all aspects of the organization's Information Security framework
  • Assist Information Technology leadership with crafting/updating Information Security policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
  • Supervise, assess, and participate in the review of the Company business continuity and disaster recovery programs with other IT team members
  • Assist with design of security policy education, training, and awareness activities
  • responsible for generating reports for IT administrators and business managers to evaluate the efficacy of the security policies in place
  • Research and identify standard methodologies and compliance requirements
  • Research the latest in information technology security trends to keep up to date with the subject and utilize the latest technology to protect information
  • Identify, evaluate, and conduct proof-of-concepts for new technologies and collaborate others team members on implementation

Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of meaningful experience in combination with associates or bachelor's degree in Information Security field; or minimum 2-4 years of experience working in cybersecurity operations and incident response role
  • Minimum Security+ or equivalent certifications. CISSP, CISM, GSEC, CEH qualification(s) is preferred
  • Solid understanding of operating systems, infrastructures, protocols and applications development
  • Experience in vulnerability scanning tools, firewalls, IDS and IPS
  • Understanding of PKI and Digital Certificates
  • Some programming/scripting experience (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
  • Possesses good work ethic and dedication to high standards
  • Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possess the verbal and written communication skills to work optimally with technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization
  • Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment
  • Must be available to work any shift, weekends, and holidays. Must be available for on-call support
