Now let's talk about the role:


The Medicare Broker Relations Analyst is responsible for the execution of the Cigna Medicare strategy for local topline sales agencies, directly contracted agents, and broker down-line sales within their market for the book of business they manage through training, relationship management.


  • Train Broker Managers on how to Influence brokers to sell more by positioning our product and promoting our brand
  • Train Broker Mangers on how to develop & execute direct agent strategies to drive profitable growth
  • Create and conduct sales presentations training for new and seasoned Broker Managers as needed
  • Adheres to and maintains current understanding of compliance requirements and organizational policies & procedures
  • Train Broker Mangers on Salesforce, how to load events, new leads, reporting, track lead performance, etc. and how to train their downlines.
  • Work independently and in a team environment on various projects, which would include planning and coordinating presentations, disseminating information and organizing events
  • Attend and support external market events as needed
  • Reinforce accountability for meeting deliverables by Broker Managers to local Sales Director
  • Train new Broker Managers and coordinate meet/greets with peers and key stakeholders within the market
  • Point of contact for escalated Systems access and IT issues, customer service issues and broker communications.
  • Assist with resolution of broker issues, tracking issues and resolution.
  • Identify and investigate trends, issues, and opportunities
  • Support retail strategy, training new Broker Mangers on retail reporting and tracking
  • Train Broker Managers on sponsorship requests and how to track ROI
  • Use Excel to combine and consolidate files for ad hoc reporting
  • Aggregate standard reporting for Sales Director
  • Facilitate the preparation of presentations & meeting materials for the broker channel
  • Print/collate/ distribute training materials
  • Perform additional sales administrative responsibilities at the discretion of local market management

  • High School Diploma required
  • 3 or more years professional experience in healthcare or related field; experience in Medicare preferred
  • Valid Tennessee Insurance license will be required
  • Self-starter, flexible, adaptable, highly organized and proactive
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to present to a group or individual
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written and active listening skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

  • Current knowledge of industry trends and regulations a plus
  • Ability to collaborate well both internally and externally to support achievement of market objectives
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
  • Knowledge of systems and technology and proficient with data analytics
  • Knowledge of marketing strategy, value proposition
  • Adherence to CMS Medicare Marketing Guidelines and procedures
  • Customer features and benefits and Medicare knowledge preferred

This role requires regular travel to client & customer sites & you must be fully vaccinated OR be required to undergo regular testing. If you're unvaccinated, you will be required to self-test (test will be provided to you) and you must obtain a negative result no greater than three (3) calendar days prior to the meeting/travel departure.
