The Business Analytics Advisor position is an opportunity to define and execute pioneering analytics that support the Customer Lifecycle strategy - Cigna's approach to ensuring we're positioned to meet the evolving needs of our customers over the course of their life. The Advisor will work collaboratively with the Customer Lifecycle Business Development Director to set and execute the analytic priorities needed to enable the Customer Lifecycle business strategy.

This individual will contribute analytical insights that help us determine those business actions we can take to earn the right to win customers. This position will blend creativity, analytical and technical competencies, relentless problem solving, business & financial acumen, and leadership to enable the execution of the Customer Lifecycle Strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure fundamental understanding on the customer value offered by a broad portfolio of Medicare products, including Medicare Advantage, Standalone Medicare Prescription Drug Plans, Medicare Supplement, and how the customer experience compares across the Medicare product portfolio as well as to health care coverage options most commonly utilized by customers prior to becoming eligible for Medicare
  • Analyze customer sub-segments by applying the customer lifetime value framework to inform the prioritization of Customer Lifecycle business priorities
  • Prioritize and execute upon a portfolio of analytics projects needed to enable the Customer Lifecycle strategy which influence decisions such as network development, marketing outreach, and product design
  • Clearly connect analytical insights to business opportunity and communicate recommendations to a diverse, multi-functional set of stakeholders including Business Development Leads, Product, Sales, and Marketing
  • Communicate project statuses, insights, and resulting business recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Demonstrate exceptional analytical competencies and ability to influence business actions with data driven insights
  • Demonstrate strong financial acumen and ability to understand durational cash flows
  • Able to navigate relational databases and extract insights using SQL.
  • 2+ years of related experience, preferably in healthcare, insurance or related field.
  • Experience with Medicare highly desired
  • Able to influence and collaborate with leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong communication skills and business acumen to translate business problems to analytics solutions

This role is Work at Home / Flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.
