Role Summary

The Enterprise Data Strategy Compliance Strategic Business Data team within Global Data & Analytics (GD&A) is built to help Evernorth drive the improvement in the accessibility and quality of our data assets and tools, and allow us to deliver regulatory compliance data solutions faster than we do today. Our ultimate goal is to ensure Evernorth's ability to grow is unconstrained by any limitations of our data. The Evernorth Enterprise Data Strategy organization is comprised of business and technical teams spanning specialized and foundational enterprise data teams as well as Data Domains (Customer, Provider, Buyer, and Intermediary). The EDS Compliance Strategic Business Data team is a specialized delivery group that coordinates execution of enterprise compliance work for programs spanning multiple data domains and business units.

The Product Management Sr. Advisor - Compliance Strategic Business Data Projects is a business-facing role that requires a candidate with a strong background in building data technology products driven by regulatory compliance requirements in a health care environment. As the Compliance Strategic Business Data Product owner you will work across enterprise compliance projects and programs to understand what regulatory, data persistence, ingestion, and access requirements exist. You will also interface with data management specialists and stake holders to write features and acceptance criteria for metadata, quality, and other governance needs.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data governance and business requirements for data lakes/data warehouses in an enterprise healthcare environment and working knowledge of Transparency in Coverage data requirements and related regulations. This role requires significant partnership with technology teams across multiple business units. You will partner in delivering healthcare data that meets the needs of compliance use cases in a rapidly shifting regulatory environment subject to volatile scope changes. Success in this role requires deep understanding of HL7 / FHIR Health Interoperability Standards, particularly implementation of FHIR Standards in the data governance space. As the Data Product Owner - Compliance Strategic Business Data Projects, you will play an active role in ensuring all enterprise data mapping follows FHIR or other specified Standards and that the data mapping product backlog for each initiative is established, well maintained, and sufficient for Evernorth's regulatory attestation needs.

Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the Enterprise Data Strategy (EDS) Strategic Compliance Business Data Program Lead, decompose Program Epic work requirements and priorities into features
  • Experience fulfilling a Program-level role in an organization with full scale SAFe practices implemented
  • Full accountability for execution of assigned Features and associated products/deliverables
  • Take ownership of assigned features and lead the creation and prioritization of the compliance data backlog
  • Engage with SCRUM Masters and team members on a regular basis to ensure assigned features are fully executed within the prescribed Program Increment
  • Lead prioritization of work for delivery team based on business value and engagement with stakeholders
  • Responsible for user story management, including accurate story descriptions and acceptance criteria
  • Facilitate and guide the development of metrics, structure of studies, benchmark initiatives, and data collection methodologies in support of business requirements
  • Actively participate in program increment planning, roadmap activities, and program prioritization and sequencing activities
  • Escalate risks to Strategic Business Data Program Lead and EDS Engineering Leads
  • Coordinate with Data Stewards, Data Mappers and Data Quality Analysts on adherence with FHIR data standards and data quality metrics


Qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience as a data product owner, or comparable type of role in an enterprise environment
  • 3+ years' experience with data management, data governance and/or data quality in a data management organization; healthcare industry experience required
  • 3+ years' experience with business usage of data warehousing/data lakes
  • Working knowledge of HL7 / FHIR Standards, Health Interoperability Networks and the Transparency in Coverage regulation data requirements
  • Experience building and maintaining an enterprise data product backlog across multiple business units and data domainsPro
  • Excellent ability to develop and build teams by assessing quality talent and motivating/inspiring others
  • Sound understanding of SAFe Methodology and other Agile and non-Agile project management methodologies
  • Demonstrated core project management skills including project planning, scope management, issue and risk management, resource planning, financial management, etc.
  • Must be a current contractor with Cigna, Express Scripts, or Evernorth. Evernorth is a new business within the Cigna Corporation.


This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
