POSITION SUMMARY

The Agile Product Owner Advisor will participate in, and lead cross-functional strategic projects related to Government Programs and The National Council of Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) Telecommunication Standards. The Agile Product Owner Advisor has direct impact on Point-of-Sale (POS)/retail adjudication and Pharma Rebate processes. The Agile Product Owner Advisor will be the subject matter expert (SME) to interpret and convey government regulations and industry standards internally and externally to key stakeholders associated with retail POS adjudication and/or Pharma Rebate related projects. As an Agile Product Owner Advisor, you will serve as an internal consultant and be responsible to ensure Company compliance of regulations for retail POS adjudication and NCPDP telecommunication standards. This will include monitoring business processes, analyzing data, identifying process improvements, and resolving issues utilizing Agile methodology

In this Advisor role you must lead, collaborate, and coordinate with the Technical Product Owners (TPO) and business stakeholders related to any retail POS adjudication or Pharma Rebate change. This role includes a synergistic and strategic partnership with Technology that will assist in making decisions on management of Pharmacy Claims Adjudication or Pharma Rebate capabilities in close alignment and coordination with new product support needs, pending and impending telecommunication changes, and the long term strategic goals for the Company. These responsibilities require a high degree of technical and project management experience including the Agile methodology; extensive experience working with both Business and Technology teams; extensive experience leading or consulting in large, complex, cross-functional projects; and a proven ability to over-come widely varying challenges, obstacles and competing priorities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Consult Internal Stakeholders on retail point-of-sale, Telecommunication Standard and Pharma Rebate impacts and solutions.
  • Ensure compliance of regulations for government programs, Pharmacy Claims Adjudication & Pharma Rebate processes, by monitoring business processes, analyzing data, identifying process improvements, and issue resolution.
  • Drive Internal NCPDP Telecommunication Compliance by consulting on any internal change impacting the retail point-of-sale, specifically related to the NCPDP Telecommunication Standard.
  • Actively participate in and influence NCPDP Telecommunication changes via external NCPDP forums; including Work Groups (WG), Task Groups (TG) and Committees. This includes providing feedback within discussions, offering potential solutions and seeking leadership roles when the opportunity presents itself.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Health Care Management, or Information Systems with 8-12 years' relative work experience
  • Preferred Master's Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Health Care Management, or Information Systems
  • 2 years minimum NCPDP membership and experience in NCPDP leadership/volunteer roles
  • Expert understanding of the pharmacy claim adjudication and Pharma Rebate spaces
  • Ability to prepare Express Scripts representatives on what and how to influence decisions being made at NCPDP
  • Ability to educate key stakeholders on pending voting decisions and how representatives will vote on behalf of the Company
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Strong working knowledge of claim adjudication and/or retail systems and requirements preferred
  • Proven Project Management skills and familiarity with Agile Methodology
  • Proven training/documentation skills
  • Proven collaborative facilitation and communication skills
  • Proven technical and detail oriented skills
  • Proven SME in Pharmacy Claims Adjudication and Pharma Rebate Processes


This role is Flex/WFH which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a Cigna office location. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
