Senior Business Advisor - Health Information Interoperability Program Management (Express Scripts)

Job Summary

The Health Information Interoperability Senior Advisor role plays an important role in identification, design, alignment, and execution of the various capabilities needed to support & utilize health information interoperability. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for managing new business identified channels requiring the exchange of health data across the enterprise and with external vendors using industry standards and tech innovations in healthcare.

Health Information Interoperability (HI2) is an enterprise initiative to provide timely access and sharing of health data to drive breakthrough improvements in quality & affordability of care, efficiency of care management and improved experiences of patients, providers, clients and employers.

Essential Functions:
  • Serve as business owner for enterprise-wide health information exchange capabilities
  • Coordinate product functions with internal teams, including Cigna, Accredo, and eviCore
  • Generate and manage business relationships and ensure alignment to product capabilities
  • Identify business demand and harness requirements within a lean business canvas framework
  • Identify strategic product enhancements and utilize data to prioritize opportunities
  • Manage product roadmaps to track prioritization of work based on budget and feasibility
  • Support intake process for clients and other stakeholders to assess needs and determine most appropriate outcomes in the exchange of electronic health information
  • Responsible for presentations of products and capabilities to internal teams, clients, and leadership
  • Act as subject matter expert for key Standards Development Organizations and their products (i.e. NCPDP SCRIPT, HL7 FHIR)

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or 5-8 years relevant experience in healthcare or product management
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry, health insurance, or PBM preferred
  • Familiarity with CMS regulatory requirements (CMS 9115, CMS 9123, ONC..)
  • Familiarity with industry standards organizations, preferably NCPDP and HL7
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate business and technology teams through a highly technical solution delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage work load to drive project deadlines and other team deliverables
  • Effective communication with internal and external individuals in various functional areas and at various levels of management
  • Strong analytical, planning, problem identification and resolution skills required
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentations and documentation
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel ~10-15%

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
