Content Strategy Senior Advisor - Evernorth

The Senior Advisor for the Content Strategy team within Bid Strategy & Execution is challenged with serving as strategic storyteller for our Evernorth health services organization by creating engaging, winning proposal content. You will serve as a consultant to Sales while partnering with subject matter experts across the company to create written and graphical content that showcases our differentiated value to our clients and highlights our strong position in the marketplace. Through a combination of creativity, critical thinking, a passion for a fast-paced sales environment, and a tenacity for learning our complex business, you will create a suite of proposal content that serves as a catalyst for furthering our transformative sales enablement strategy, and ultimately, winning new business. The ideal candidate will have a background in management consulting, sales consulting, marketing, product development, strategic planning, content strategy and management, copywriting and/or go-to-market strategy, and be excellent at building strong, authentic relationships.

This position is with Evernorth, a new business within the Cigna Corporation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Serve as a consultant to Sales by understanding current market dynamics and client needs, and position proposal content for Evernorth solutions to uniquely meet those needs
• Work closely with cross-functional partners throughout the organization to develop proposal content for new go-to-market initiatives and product launches, ensuring content closely aligns with evolving Evernorth vision and strategy
• Develop a deep understanding of our health plan sales strategy and the business capabilities that support the strategy, and partner with cross-functional experts to transform functional, process-based material into differentiated, well-written, client-facing content
• Build strong, authentic relationships with Sales and all key cross-functional partners
• Communicate strong points of view based on market insights, client feedback, and consultant guidance, and use that point of view to influence stakeholders in creating winning responses, while appropriately managing business risk
• Concurrently balance writing a large volume of proposal content with managing the day-to-day expectations of a fast-paced work environment, including attending meetings, answering questions, and supporting teammates
• Design infographics and graphical imagery for use in proposal content
• Successfully aggregate and coordinate fragmented themes, messaging, and/or responses into a single cohesive story
• Create and deliver strong, visually-appealing PowerPoint presentations to support interactions with senior executives
• Utilize strong critical thinking skills to navigate challenges and uncertainty independently
• Mentor and train new team members

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree with 5-10 years of experience
• 2-3 years of experience in management consulting, sales consulting, marketing, product development, strategic planning, content strategy and management, copywriting and/or go-to-market strategy strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required (60-80% of your time in this role will involve writing)
• PowerPoint design skills required
• Curious thinker with a passion and tenacity for learning and understanding our products, services, and key business drivers
• Ability to think strategically, connect dots, and effectively translate internal descriptions and terminology into client-facing content
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, successfully navigate ambiguity, effectively multitask, and work independently with minimal guidance
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to change
• Excellent prioritization and time management skills

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
