Role Summary:

The Regional Engagement Lead represents Cigna as a thought leader in well-being and customer engagement. As the subject matter expert within the Engagement Center of Excellence, the REL provides consultative support to sales partners as a subject matter expert on Cigna's Life Connected approach, Cigna consumer health engagement solutions, and thought leadership. The incumbent will also support the local sales team in new business opportunities and external speaking engagements. Their overall goal will be to champion Cigna's presence as a leader in well-being and supporting sales partners to help clients build a culture of well-being.

General Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrates thought leadership as a market resource for local sales team supporting internal and external speaking engagements. Ie. finalist presentations, conferences, requests for proposals, community initiatives, etc. as applicable
  • Oversees supporting local market team with tools and resources to execute well-being recommendations ensuring customization to the client and aimed at a multi-year approach on all medical accounts.
  • Consults with account team members to present to clients or producers Cigna's consumer health engagement offerings, approach, and results
  • Stays up-to-date on latest research and competitive intelligence in the well-being marketplace and shares best practices / learning's in key industries. Partners with leadership to create and maintain a best practices repository.
  • Supports the development and marketing of well-being case studies
  • Leads well-being award rollout in local market(s)
  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert who provides consultative knowledge to improve and enhance the team and organization's results.
  • Mentor and coach team members as well as lead onboarding / training of new hires, as applicable
  • Takes on stretch assignments aligned to career development and as directed by Manager
  • Serves as a back up to manager as appropriate

Highly skilled in making presentations and influencing others. Excellent communications skills, written and verbal. Self-starter; able to work independently. Strong relationship skills Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications. Skilled at showcasing technology and demo's.


At minimum, Bachelor's degree in health education, health promotion or related field. Advanced degree is preferred. Certified through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. (NCHEC) or State Board, candidate may achieve certification within one year post-hire. Five or more years' experience preferably with corporate health and wellness Travel, may include overnight
