The Cigna Medicare Sales Enablement Business Project Advisor will be responsible for the evaluation, definition, management and execution of Sales initiatives required for Sales operations, business process improvements and regulatory requirements related to our Medicare, Medicaid, and PDP products. The individual will support the overall Sales Operations strategy and have a significant impact on key department objectives by aligning business solutions with Cigna's overall value proposition as well as federal and state regulatory requirements.

The Cigna Medicare Sales Enablement Business Project Advisor is responsible for coordinating with Sales Support, Contracting, Commissions, Internal sales resources, Broker Account Management team, Compliance, IT, and various matrix partners to deliver efficient and effective solutions to support the Sales organization. The individual in this position will work collaboratively across multiple functional areas to analyze, quantify, and validate the effectiveness of current business processes and systems; evaluate project plans from cost, efficiency, legal, and regulatory standpoints; plan and execute business process Improvement initiatives; and integrate new initiatives into the existing matrix platforms and processes. This resource will identify gaps in processes and support development and implementation of solutions, as well as manage a variety of projects to ensure business objectives and their subsequent deliverables are met on time. This Business Project Advisor will analyze, report and present proposed solutions to inform leadership as well as the organization through continuous and proactive reporting.

This individual will work closely across teams and leadership to design and implement solutions within established time lines, provide measureable deliverables and cost savings metrics, improve compliance of the sales organization, improve the quality and efficiency of sales operations, deliver progress reporting and determine impact assessments of costs and return on investments. Achievements are largely dependent on successfully eliciting feedback across multiple constituents, the sales organization, market leadership and working closely and effectively to deliver solutions that meet or exceed the needs of all stakeholders. This is accomplished by acquiring a deep understanding of all business processes, systems and matrix partner impacts; anticipating the needs of stakeholders to proactively design value-added solutions; breaking down complex problems and scenarios into easily understood parts and communicating to stakeholders of various levels; designing and executing project plans per delivery expectations and timelines, and building and maintaining strong peer relationships with various internal matrix partners and external vendors.

  • Drive and strengthen partnerships with peer functional areas (IT, Contracting, Commissions, Training, Compliance, Sales Integrity, Sales Operations, Sales resources, Account Management teams), to ensure successful identification of business impact, system, process, and policy change needs
  • Serve as Sales Operations SME (subject matter expert) for departmental activities and initiatives
  • Contributes and in many cases drives definition, design and delivery of solutions for our Sales organization
  • Provide leadership and clear decision-making on issues affecting process improvement
  • Support cross-functional decision-making and take ownership to drive compliant process improvement results

  • Create and communicate ongoing Executive Summary for Sales Initiatives (metrics, trends, status, upcoming items, etc)
  • Drive alignment and execution of business priorities across sales ops
  • Able to identify gaps in processes and continuously challenge self and others to develop and implement solutions
  • Analyze sales operations business and performance metrics and report out on trends and strategic opportunities
  • Ensure collaboration between sales operations and channels in order to maintain efficiency and transparency
  • Manage a variety of projects to ensure business objectives and their subsequent deliverables are met on time
  • Support the preparation of agenda, presentations, and analysis specific to Sales Ops in preparation for recurring Leadership Team events including the Growth MOR, Quarterly Town-halls, Sales Conference, external partner events (Partner Summit, FDR Summit, Sales Conference)
  • Maintain strong, positive relationships with Sales Ops business areas and Product, Marketing, Network, Retention, Finance and other matrix partners to successfully execute on Sales Ops and related growth objectives

  • Bachelor's Degree - Business, Marketing, or Communications, preferred or equivalent work experience
  • At least 7 or more years of work experience
  • Medicare industry and product knowledge strongly preferred
  • Understanding of Medicare regulations is preferred
  • Ability to create compelling presentations
  • Conscientious, detail-oriented individual with a passion for accuracy and quality
